[sam id=”15″ codes=”true”]It’s so easy to see The Bad. And conversations about The Bad tend to spiral into a whirlwind of agreement on shared despair and agony. It is our view at SPN that when a good news story pops up, we should also bear witness to that.
Sooke Fax and Copy is located at “Ground Zero” of the construction zone, and they have had the construction literally at their doorstep since it began in July. It’s been a long, loud, dusty haul for them; and yet, they are still able to pick out the golden moments. Sooke Fax and Copy recently posted a wonderful example of human kindness from the construction crew on Sooke Road.
With their permission we are reprinting it here.
Feel-good story alert
Construction and paving crews started paving the driveway at Sooke Fax and Copy early Thursday morning (Oct 1). When Tamara arrived to open their office, the paving material was still hot.
“Don’t stand still long or your shoes will melt,” she was advised by a construction crew member.
Tamara picks up the story from here:
“I was carefully and quickly guided to our front door by crews. Shortly after, our upstairs neighbour arrived with her German Shepherd in tow. The crews stopped her at the side of our building to make a plan to guide her and her dog safely to their office door.
“Without hesitation, a crew member took our neighbour’s office key and opened the door; another gently scooped up the dog and delivered it to their office entryway with our neighbour following behind.
“Just another example of the kindness shown by the roundabout construction crews that our office has experienced! THANK YOU!”
