RCMP want to speak with the tattooed candy man
Sooke RCMP are interested in speaking with anyone with information about a suspicious circumstance that occurred on Saturday afternoon, on Steeple Chase, Sooke, BC.
Sometime between 1:15 – 1:45 pm, on Saturday August 27th 2016, two groups of children between the ages of five and 10 years old, were approached and given red licorice, by a male in a truck.
The truck is described as: A newer model, white, Ford, extended cab work truck, with a metal rack attached to the truck bed, and construction material and tools in the truck bed.
The male driver is described as: Approximately 40-60 years old, with a bald head, and grey stubble from the ears down. He was clean shaven, had bad teeth and two very distinctive tattoos on his right arm. The right forearm had a snake that was either all red or a tongue that was red, while the right bicep had a crisscross design that went all around the bicep.
Sooke RCMP are very interested in speaking with this male. We wish to take this opportunity to remind parents of the importance of having regular safety discussions with children, about speaking to, and accepting gifts (ie. candy) from strangers.
If anyone has information, please call the Sooke RCMP Detachment at 250 642-5241 or, if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. (8477)
OMG!
Wow, good details – smart kids.
Was he clean shaven or was there grey stubble ? Contradicting
I believe the author is saying that the candy man’s bald head had grey stubble from the ears down.
The kids were between five and 10 – give them a break. It’s pretty great they took in as much detail as they did. Good grief.
Chill out Charlotte. I just wanted clarification so I could keep an eye out. I thought maybe the author of the post could clarify.
Parents should teach their kids to take note of license plate numbers. Even partial can be helpful.
So many don’t read the article .. Someone must know this guy. “He was clean shaven, had bad teeth and two very distinctive tattoos on his right arm. The right forearm had a snake that was either all red or a tongue that was red, while the right bicep had a crisscross design that went all around the bicep.”
